1. SMS Program Description & Messaging Use Cases

HINC offers an SMS text messaging program to members, event registrants, and contacts who voluntarily opt in through our website forms. The program includes two categories of messages:

• Account & Event Messages (Non-Marketing): membership confirmations, payment receipts, renewal reminders, event registration confirmations, and event logistics updates (e.g., tee times, schedule or venue changes).

• Marketing Messages: invitations to networking meetings, golf outings, and member-exclusive offers.

You may opt into either category, both, or neither. SMS consent is never required to become a member, register for an event, or use our website. Message frequency varies based on your activity, typically averaging 2–4 messages per month.

2. How to Opt Out

You may cancel SMS messages at any time. Just text STOP to the number you received messages from. After you send "STOP," we will send you a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages from that consent category unless you opt in again. If you are subscribed to multiple message categories, you may need to text STOP to each program separately, or contact us for assistance.

5. Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Wireless carriers participating in this program are not responsible for the content of messages sent through HINC's SMS program. Delivery of SMS messages is not guaranteed, and message delivery may be affected by factors outside HINC's or the carrier's control, including network coverage, device compatibility, and carrier filtering.

6. Age Restriction

You must be 18 years of age or older to opt in to HINC's SMS program, apply for membership, or register for HINC events. By opting in, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

7. Membership & Events

Membership in HINC is subject to application and approval, and HINC reserves the right to approve, deny, or revoke membership at its sole discretion. HINC hosts networking meetings and events, including golf tournaments and related fundraising activities; event registration may require payment, and event details are subject to change, with reasonable efforts made to notify registrants of material changes.
